NATSAVE has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SARO Agro and the Social and Economic Empowerment Development Cooperative Union (SEED) for financing and supply of equipment for Micro and Small Medium Enterprises.

The signing ceremony and launch of the tripartite collaboration deal were officiated by the Minister of Small and Media Enterprises Development Hon. Elias Mubanga at SARO Agro Head Office in Lusaka.

Witnessing the signing ceremony, Hon. Elias Mubanga said SMEs are the largest employers in the country and should be accorded all the support they can get.

Hon. Mubanga said Zambia small-scale farmers contribute over 90% of the agricultural sector and should, therefore, have access to affordable financing to procure quality farming equipment.

Meanwhile, NATSAVE CEO, Malcolm Chabala reiterated the bank's commitment towards supporting the bank's SMES and MSMEs. "Government effort and drive have motivated us as a Bank to identify viable partners who we can work with to supplement the already enormous government stride," said Mr. Chabala. Mr. Chabala assured the minister of the bank's vast experience in providing impeccable financial services and willingness to provide enriched solutions to empower Zambian MSMEs.
