• Welcome to NatSave - 11 Aug 2009 JOINT PRESS STATEMENT BY NATIONAL SAVINGS AND CREDIT BANK (NATSAVE)
AND ZAMCAPITAL ENTERPRISES LIMITED (ZEL)
National Savings and Credit Bank (Natsave) and Zamcapitol
enterprises limited (ZEL) are happy to announce the signing of a memorandum
of understanding on 15th march 2010.
The MOU is aimed at promoting small scale farmers, micro, small and medium
scale enterprises and individuals in accessing farming equipment such
as hammermills, windmills and maize Dehullers. The equipment will be provided
by Zamcapitol enterprises whilst the purchase of the equipment will be
financed by Natsave by providing a hire purchase facility.
This partnership will offer an opportunity to small businesses to increase
their income levels through the use of the scheduled equipment.
Small businesses have in the past been disadvantaged in that they were
unable to access for farming equipment due to lack of collateral.
It is worth noting that Natsave has 27 branches spread through out the
country. This network provides a platform for increased access to financial
services which now includes the hire purchase facility for both rural
and urban areas. The positive impact this will have on economic growth
and wealth creation will, in the long run be overwhelming.
On the other hand Zamcapitol is renowned for its high quality products
and being the oldest engineering company in Zambia with over 40 years
of experience.
This partnership will also provide support for strengthening entrepreneur
activities and community development.
Zamcapitol enterprises and National Savings and Credit Bank would therefore
like to encourage small scale farmers as well as business enterprises
to take advantage of this partnership and the benefits it provides.
